HistoryThe Violet Doula was born from experience and training. After experiencing a traumatic birth, I set out to find a better way to birth. That's when I learned about doulas and the research supporting the importance of doulas at every birth regardless of location, philosophy, or methodology. People who have doulas supporting them during birth are statistically less likely to have interventions, complications, and postpartum moods disorders. Every birthing person is entitled to the birth they want and to informed consent surrounding their pregnancy and birth. My goal is to provide a safe birthing environment and educational support to help you make informed decisions to empower your birthing experience.
