Little Orleans Lodge is the only lodging between Hancock and Cumberland, MD along the C&O Canal towpath. The lodge is conveniently located just 1/2 mile from the C & O Canal Towpath (Fifteen Mile Creek campground MP 141) and offers a variety of rooms to accommodate all visitors, from the solo hiker-biker to a group. The western terminus of the C & O Canal Trail is located in Cumberland, Maryland (43 miles west) where the towpath connects with the Great Allegheny Passage to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Under NEW Management! Little Orleans Lodge has been serving backpackers and bicyclist alike on the C&O Canal towpath and American Discovery Trail since 2001. There are 5 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 13 guest depending upon their relationship. All baths are shared... Sorry folks. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, TV-Game lounge, deck with grill, laundry, and shuttle service. Included with the room is a hardy country style Breakfast that is served daily at 8am. Please no smoking inside the lodge and absolutely no pets. Children find out lodge very boring. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 7am. The Lodge is open 7 days a week, year round. We never close.
