History
Little Orleans Campground & Park Area officially opened for business in June of 1980. The developers saw the need for services and the recreational opportunity connected with the C&O Canal path, the Potomac River, Fifteen-Mile Creek, and Green Ridge State Forest. Throughout the years it has been further developed and upgraded to accommodate all of the improvements being made with recreational vehicles and the camping industry, in general. Today it is a very rare find, as both its RV and tent sites are wooded and spacious. It has retained its unique outdoors charm and characteristics among a campground industry that has recently demonstrated a tendency to think that a campground should be a collection of side-by-side parking spots. Canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, bicycling, and hiking are among the many outdoor sports that are readily available here, and in the last few years this park has expanded to include a limited number of cabin rentals. Outdoor enthusiasts welcome!
