HistoryLango was established in the San Francisco Bay in 2007 on the belief that every child should learn a second language. Frustrated by the lack of options to teach our own kids another language (and having met many other families with the same concern), we set out to create a program that would teach kids new languages in a way that kids will love. Headquartered in San Francisco, California, Lango teaches children ages 18 months to nine years new languages in full immersion classes through Adventure Learning, our innovative approach that combines stories, music and movement, playacting and game-playing in an engaging, format that kids love. Lango expanded to the DC metro area in the fall of 2009. In addition to Prince George's County, Lango is offered throughout the metropolitan area. Lango is now a member-owned co-operative with operations from coast to coast.SpecialtiesLango offers immersion classes in Spanish, French and Mandarin in convenient locations. Our classes are: Tots - 18 months to 3 years (with caregiver) Pre-school - 3 years to 5 years Elementary - 5 years to 11 years Classes are 45-minutes long and meet at least once a week. Our classes starting at $75 per month and include materials. Lango classes can be held in the community or as a part of a preschool or after school program. At Lango your child will learn a foreign language through singing, games, challenging activities and lots of movement. We believe every child can and should learn a second language.
