The League for People with Disabilities offers vocational, rehabilitative, educational, medical, wellness and social services to more than 1,500 individuals with multiple, physical, cognitive and neurological disablities. Its medical day program serves clients suffering from traumatic brain injury, neurological impairment and disabilities resulting from stroke, HIV, congenital impairment and seizure disorders. Its adult day care for seniors has a wellness center, therapeutic pool and whirlpool and offers cognitive retraining, nursing care, counseling, transportation and nutritious breakfast, lunch and snacks. Its camping and therapeutic recreation program provides year round camping, assisted travel, community recreation and summer camp programs. Its vocational services program includes various services, including career assessment, employee development services, and employment services, including job development, job placement and coaching and ongoing support. Established in 1927, The League for People with Disabilities is located in Baltimore.
