The Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church in Washington DC has been a center of Christian and Latvian fellowship for more than 50 years. It is a member of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church in America ( LELBA ). Services and most events are conducted in Latvian. All are warmly invited to worship service and other events. The church's mission is symbolized in its logo, visible at upper left. The church is a tree rooted in cultural heritage, which has through the cross of Christ grown and borne fruit for fifty years. The Latvian symbol is found directly under the cross in the stained glass window behind the altar; it is visible under the altar. There is always room for more branches and for the fruit of the future.
