Class Produce Group

The Class Produce Group is a third-generation, family-owned produce distributor operating in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., area. In 1936, the company started with just one stall at the old Baltimore Marsh Market, but has since grown to 13 distribution centers and two warehouses in Jessup, Md. Over time, the business grew into six companies: W.D. Class & Son, JLW Produce, JC Banana, CFC Trucking, Class Distribution Services and Intellispec. In November 2004, the W.D. Class, JC Banana and JLW Produce business units were merged into a single operating entity known as The Class Produce Group. CFC Trucking continues to operate as a subsidiary, distributing produce throughout the company s market area with more than 60 refrigerated trucks.
