Approximately 15% of American couples are affected by various infertility conditions. At the Johns Hopkins Fertility Center, our doctors have been using Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) since 1984 to help couples achieve their dream of having a biological child.
ART includes all fertility treatments in which both eggs and sperm are manipulated outside the human body by medical staff prior to fertilization and implantation in the womans uterus. In general, ART procedures involve surgically removing eggs from a womans ovaries, combining them with sperm in the laboratory, and returning them to the womans body or donating them to another woman.
Our team at the Johns Hopkins Fertility Center works diligently to provide a full spectrum of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART).
