For decades, Havre de Grace residents have visited the corner of Pennington and Union Avenues to borrow books and access all of what the Harford County Public Library has to offer. The library's Havre de Grace branch, founded in 1960, boasts over 60,000 volumes of books. Managed by Irmgarde B. Brown, the library features a popular summer reading program and hosts various events and programs that run throughout the calendar year.
