The Frederick County Division of Public Works operates construction management and inspection, highways and transportation, and program development and management departments. Its highways and transportation department is responsible for the development and maintenance of highway networks, including roads, bridges and culverts. The division also administers engineering, planning and traffic programs for the county transportation system. In addition, the Frederick County Division of Public Works manages quality, cost and risks associated with design and construction projects. It also conducts various public outreach and educational programs that provide information regarding watershed management. Located in Frederick, Md., the division additionally offers project management services and oversees maintenance programs for roads and bridges.
