Founded in 1959 as a job printing shop, Tidewater Direct specializes in the production of direct mail component applications. It offers products, such as self-mailers, brochures, buck slips, reply cards, statement stuffers, promotional materials, and single page and multipage letters and booklets. The company has a fleet of more than 10 multicolor web-offset and continuous-forms presses in a range of formats. Tidewater Direct also produces packaging inserts, catalogues, newspaper stuffers, bind-in cards, newsletters and freestanding inserts. It maintains various facilities in Maryland and Iowa that feature a range of bindery equipment, including guillotine cutters, conventional folders, and shrink-wrapping and drilling tools. T Tidewater Direct has prepress and preparation capabilities. Its sister company, American Direct, provides printing services for personalized letters, direct mail forms and cut sheets.
