The Eastport Civic Association (ECA) is a non-profit community association in Glen Burnie, MD, dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Eastport Community. With over 700 members, the ECA engages in activities that build relationships with local officials and work towards crime prevention goals, such as implementing surveillance cameras, supporting violence interruption programs, acquiring public safety funding, and garnering neighborhood support.
The ECA, in collaboration with the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (HACA), has formed a work group called Living Safely Together, which aims to combat crime in Eastport. Through practical approaches and evidence-based solutions, the ECA and HACA seek to understand and support key crime reduction projects, overcome obstacles, and advocate for the safety and well-being of the Eastport community.
