Zachary Baker, MD, earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Coral Gables, Fl. He completed an internship in general surgery at the University of Maryland Baltimore, a residency in general surgery at West Virginia University in Morgantown, W. Va., and a residency in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He is board-certified in thoracic surgery. Dr. Baker assisted in clinically based humanitarian medical care for people in Haiti and also volunteered in Japan for two years where he supervised groups of fellow missionaries; he also has a BA in Japanese from the University of Utah. Dr. Baker serves as Medical Director of Thoracic Oncology at TidalHealth. He provides care at TidalHealth Cardiovascular Surgery in Salisbury, Md.
