Columbia Archives is a community organization, a service of the Columbia Association, which works to collect and preserve the history of the town. The organization works to make materials available to the public, including the documents of the planning, development and continuing physical, institutional, governmental and cultural growth of the community. The collection contains all types of materials including personal papers, organizational records, photographs and prints, maps, land plats, development plans, posters, original artwork, audio-visual recordings, books, reports, builders' brochures, newspapers, reference files, and more. The association offers numerous special events throughout the year, such as the annual BikeAbout, as well as walking tours, presentations and exhibits.
