Rockville City Hall is a part of the Rockville City Government, which provides a range of services for residents, visitors and businesses. The city government operates finance, police, information and technology, public works, human resources, and recreation and parks departments. It oversees community programs and administration and offers youth and family services through a community services department. The Rockville City Government provides historic preservation, inspection, and planning and zoning services. The city government also offers affordable housing programs. Its public works department maintains a traffic and transportation division that plans, designs and operates roadways, bridges, sidewalks, bike paths, traffic signals and street lights. The Rockville City Government is responsible for the maintenance of several recreational and community facilities, including the Croydon Creek Nature Center, F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, Climbing Gym and Glenview Mansion.
