Chesapeake College, founded in 1965, is a two-year liberal arts college offering associate degrees and certificates to students throughout Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, and Talbot counties in Maryland. The academic courses offered by the college includes accounting, business administration, chemistry, clinical psychology, dietetics, engineering and medical technology, and public administration. It also provides various technical courses to students, including paralegal studies, nursing, residential carpentry, respiratory care, cosmetology, hotel and restaurant management, industrial maintenance, and welding and cutting. The sports activities offered by the college include baseball, basketball, softball, field hockey and soccer. It has a library that provides more than 50,000 books and audiovisual resources, Internet access, and online periodicals and subject databases. The amenities offered by the college include library, media center, auditorium, museum, and dining and lodging facilities. It provides a variety of services to students, such as career counseling, financial assistance, scholarships and medical assistance. Chesapeake College is located in Wye Mills, Md.
