Giorgios Restaurant & Carry-out

Giorgio's is one of those little unassuming places that time seems to have forgotten—and this is a good thing. The storefront is the only one in Hillendale Shopping center that isn't just glass and signage. The antique carved-wood posts, awning that frames the front door and formica counters are just the beginning. Giorgio's serves sub-shop fare, with cheese steaks, chicken wings and pizza specials, but it also hosts "Giorgio's Dairyland", a separate counter-space where one can choose from an entire range of Royal Supreme sundaes, milkshakes, soda floats, dipped cones, soft-serve ice cream and even malts. For the early risers, Giorgio's offers hot, homemade breakfast seven days a week—they'll even deliver it to your front door—but you have to order between 7am and 11am. Aside from standard breakfast dishes, grits, Belgian waffles, N.Y. strip steak, and even hard to find Chicken Waffles are available ever day for eat-in, take-out or delivery.
