Founded in 1886, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington are part of the largest affiliate of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Whether it's before care, after care, or summer camp, the Silver Spring Branch provides welcoming, nurturing and valuable age-appropriate services for kids aged 5-18.
Before and after care programs at the Silver Spring Branch include activities such as tutoring, leadership development, health and fitness programs, guitar lessons, computer lessons and much more. Transportation to and from schools is also available free of charge; call for details.
Summer Camp activities for youths age 14-18 include a Counselor in Training (CIT) program that prepares teenagers entering maturity to be responsible camp counselors and provides them with the knowledge necessary for camp activity development. Summer Camp sessions for children ages 5-13 include activities such as recreational swimming, arts and crafts, field trips to water parks and museums, special events such as pool parties and other occasions.
