Since 1851, this historical African-American church has been the spiritual gathering place for many worshipers in the Broadneck community. The first early members were enslaved men of African descent who met on what was then called "Old School Hill." Today, the church sponsors a variety of worship groups including those for men, women, singles and youth. It is also recognized for its outstanding musical, dance and drama presentations. Its services are broadcast on the local cable channel 99 on Sunday mornings as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays.
