History
Acadia's Oceanside Meadows Inn sits on a 200 acre private preserve at the head of Sand Cove in picturesque Prospect Harbor. The Inn consists of several historic buildings including a historic farmhouse c 1820 and an historic sea captains home c.1860 built by Captain George Allen, the inn was placed close to the white sand beach at the head of the bay, so that summer guests could enjoy the relaxing sound of the surf and the cool sea breezes. Local resident and dear friend Frances Wood remembers staying with her Great Uncle George as a small child during her summer vacations, and recalls the many house guests that would visit from Boston and New York to summer on the ocean. Whether you are travelling alone or with your entire family, Oceanside Meadows will provide you with a most memorable seaside experience. We look forward to welcoming you.
