History
Jim came to visit Acadia National Park as part of a Field Biology class for college and fell in love with Acadia. When Robyn graduated from college, he wanted to take her somewhere special, and so we came to Acadia. We fell in love with the beautiful mountains, pink granite cliffs that overlook the ocean, the many lakes and ponds, the woods, and just enjoying nature by hiking and biking. We enjoyed visiting the nearby lighthouse and the natural seawall. We also apprciated the laid-back, slower lifestyle of the Down-Easter's. We loved Acadia so much, that we purchased a piece of land in 1990 with the hopes of retiring in Acadia some day. We were fortunate enough to be able to build a home on that land in 2006 and be able to offer you the chance, as well, to use it and also enjoy the piece of heaven we found in Acadia. There is so much to see and do here, and we know that once you visit, you will love Acadia, too!
