Located in Covington, La., St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office serves the public by preserving, protecting and promoting the quality of life. It has various divisions, such as crime patrol, investigation, special operations, information systems and internal affairs. Its patrol division consists of more than 150 deputies to provide services to citizens, including answering calls and responding to complaints. Its juvenile and sex crime investigation division is in charge of investigating matters which concern the care, supervision, neglect and custody of juveniles. Its crime laboratory provides services to local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Its internal affairs division investigates internal and external complaints against employees of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.
