Great place for a family hike near the Red River. Varying length trails to choose from. A story time trails for the very littles. Lake open to non-motorized traffic. Major bird migratory highway....

A very beautiful place to enjoy nature, with several trails that carry you around the lake area. Quality benches to sit on for a sunset picnic!

Full of comfortable walking trails it would be easy to spend all day here. The visitors center (now closed for Covid) looks like it's full of fun useful information. But so are the walking trails....

I'm glad we have a place like this in the twin cities! My dog and I did the river trail, it was a great mix of wild and extensive. It's like having a free state park.
