Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in New Orleans, LA, is home to a two manual, 11 rank pipe organ that was the original organ for the present structure. Although currently unplayable, most of the organ remains in place or stored in the choir loft. Over the years, it has been replaced by electronic organs, including a Baldwin and later a Conn, before a three rank Wicks organ from another church in New Orleans was moved and is currently in service.
Following the closure of the church after Hurricane Katrina, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church has recently reopened and merged with the Center Of Jesus The Lord, which had been operating in the old Carmelite Convent on North Rampart Street.
