History
Photographer and author Nathan Myhrvold opened Modernist Cuisine Gallery in 2017 after receiving requests for artwork from the Modernist Cuisine book series. Located at 305 Royal Street, the gallery sits at the epicenter of the arts in the French Quarter, where it neighbors local art galleries, antique shops, incredible food, and the New Orleans landmark Hotel Monteleone. The architectural details of the historic building--once the work space of furniture designer Prudent Mallard and, later, the home of writer E. Hoffman Price--have been carefully preserved and beautifully juxtapose the art.
