Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, Kent House is an authentic Creole plantation house built circa 1796 prior to the Louisiana Purchase. Tours of the house and outbuildings are available Monday through Saturday beginning at 9am, 10am, 11am, noon, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm. We did a tour of this and it was great. We had a good tour guide (2) and definitely learned a lot! I would recommend anyone in the area that has not seen this to go check it out.

We did the guided tour of the plantation, which I would highly recommended. With the guided tour you learn a lot and our guides were very nice and animated. Beware that tours do not seem to start...
