Jungle Gardens on Avery Island was originally developed as a nursery by the late TABASCO President, Mr. Ned McIlhenny.
Specialties
Avery Island, home of the TABASCO Pepper Sauce Factory, is also home of the 170-acre Jungle Gardens. This botanical treasure contains South Louisiana marshes and bayous that are inhabited by indigenous wildlife. Visitors can see black bears, Bird City (the white egret conservation rookery), alligators, a 900 year old Buddha Statue, and more! Tickets are available online or at the Jungle Garden's Gift Shop to tour the Garden area and/or the TABASCO Pepper Sauce Factory.
