Archbishop Rummel High School
Archbishop Rummel High School, located in Metairie, La., is a Catholic college-preparatory school for boys that was established in 1962. It serves students in grades eight through 12 and enrolls more than 1,300 students. The school s curriculum includes English, mathematics, language arts, biology, chemistry, United States history, and foreign languages with a choice in French and Spanish. It also provides advanced-placement and honors courses in calculus, algebra, statistics, world geography, English, physics, religion, Spanish and French. Additionally, Archbishop Rummel High School provides various elective courses, such as journalism, theater arts, Web design, multimedia and accounting. The high school also organizes various extracurricular activities, such as music, chorus and band, and offers the National Honor Society program. Archbishop Rummel High School has a library that provides online databases, Internet search tools, audiovisual aids and referral sources. It additionally provides various sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, bowling, football, cross country, swimming and tennis.
