History
The Chimes began during the 1986 Super Bowl season, when all hotel rooms in the STATE had been reserved for the event. Fans had tickets, yet, no where to sleep. Utilizing the carriage house behind the main residence of Jill and Charles Abbyad, a reservation service sent the first guests from, Massachusetts. Over the years with growing popularity more guest accommodations were converted around the courtyard. Soon after the Abbyad children arrived, two stories were added to the home and the family moved upstairs, leaving the lower level for kitchen, dining and guest accommodations. It's a beautiful life at the Chimes Bed and Breakfast.
