CareSouth Medical and Dental is a private non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center located in Baton Rouge, LA. The health center offers a wide range of community-based medical, dental, and behavioral health services to the local community. Guided by a consumer-majority volunteer board of directors, CareSouth's mission is to provide comprehensive, affordable, high-quality healthcare with compassion and respect for all.
With a team of experienced healthcare professionals, CareSouth delivers medical, dental, and behavioral health services at its main location in Baton Rouge as well as at satellite clinics in Donaldsonville, Plaquemine, and Zachary, Louisiana. Recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, CareSouth originally began its services in 1997 as Capitol City Family Health Center and later rebranded to CareSouth in 2016 to better reflect the communities it serves.
