The Capital Area Reentry Coalition (CAPARC) is a collaborative effort between local businesses, non-profit and faith-based organizations, and government entities in Baton Rouge, LA. Their mission is to support individuals transitioning from prison back into society by providing a comprehensive range of services and resources to promote successful reintegration, reduce recidivism, and enhance public safety.
Through active work groups focused on housing, employment, transportation, health and wellness, education, legal services, and peer support, CAPARC aims to create a true reintegration experience for returning citizens, while effectively managing and tracking community resources. Established in 2011, CAPARC is a 501(c)(3) organization funded by private organizations, local and state government, and donations.
