Calcasieu Parish Police Jury is located in southwest Louisiana and has a population of more than 183,500. It is the governing authority of the Parish. It also offers child home day care that enables underemployed individuals to access quality child care by assisting private individuals to care for these children in their homes by reimbursing the cost of each meal served to the children in their homes that meet the United States Dairy Association and departmental standards.
