Caddo Parish School Board, located in Shreveport, La., comprises various members elected by voters to serve single-member districts. Its members serve four-year terms, and manage and administer more than 35 elementary and over 10 high schools. The board also offers a wide variety of cocurricular, enrichment and educational programs to students in grades kindergarten through 12. Caddo Parish School Board establishes rules and regulations concerning organization, general policies, major plans and procedures for the public schools. It also appoints a superintendent to manage its budget, supervise the staff and students, and make recommendations on the operation of the schools. The school board also organizes parent documentaries and meetings on educational agendas.
