Woodlawn Elementary School enrolls more than 600 students in grades kindergarten through six. The student-teacher ratio of the school is 15-to-1. The school s curriculum includes English, foreign languages, science, social studies and math. It also offers computers, music, physical education and fine arts. It has been recognized by the United States Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. The Secret Garden is an outdoor classroom provided by the school to enhance the learning experience of students. It also has a special education department that offers various courses to students. Located in Danville, Ky., Woodlawn Elementary School is a part of the Boyle County School district that also includes two elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools.
