So many have asked us “why” a food truck or “why” a bakery. The answer is simple, God. He placed a vision in our lives and is seeing it to completion but let me fill in all of the blanks. My mother has been in the kitchen as long as I can remember and anyone who knows her knows what a gift she has with food. In fact, she’s pretty famous for her cakes around our neck of the woods. I’m telling you the woman can take just about anything you throw at her and make it into a gourmet meal. She taught my sister Lacey and I that food feeds more than your stomach. Sounds cheesy I know, but the importance of sitting together around a table and the fellowship that happens there is priceless. My fondest memories involve Sunday dinner, kids playing, Daddy always having food on his cheek, dancing in the kitchen, mashed potato food fights, laughing until we cried and most of all family. I hope that someday my children and my children’s children can say the same. Now don’t get me wrong I’m not volunteering to take Mommas’ place as Sunday dinner hostess just yet, but when that day comes I’ll be ready to take the charge. Now onto the present..... In 2016 God placed an urgency in my life to open a small business, particularly a bakery. The problem was it just wasn’t the right time. Having a full time job and two boys will keep a lady busy and believe me when I say that my calendar stays full. My husband Chad has worked a 12 hour swing shift for the majority of our marriage and because of his sacrifice for our family he has missed out on so many important events. But God is so much bigger than us and He knew what our family needed. In November of 2017 we received notice that the plant job Chad had worked for the past 12 years was no more and would be ending within the next 12 months. There was never a fear or a worry we just placed our trust in God and allowed Him to lead us. It didn’t take long for us to know what He would have us to do! We jumped in head first and here we are running a food truck and building a bakery. Our prayer from the very start has been “if this is not in Your will, You close the doors.” There have been some doors closed and others that have opened. As for the name of the business, well it again was God lead. In August of 2017 Chads’ aunt Debbie came to me in a dream. Debbie has been gone for almost 15 years so I found it odd that she came to me but I was so thankful that she did. In my dream I asked her to tell me what it was like to set at the feet of Jesus and I drew two triangles mirroring one another with the points touching. She said no and then placed her finger on mine and began to draw a circle over and over again saying, “people think of the trinity as a circle, no end and no beginning but it it more like this” and then she started tracing an infinity symbol. I heard her say “the top represents The Son, bottom represents The Holy Spirit and where they meet is The Father.” Debbie told me, “nothing happens without passing through The Fathers hands.” Now to some this sounds completely crazy, I get it. I too was once one of those people, but when I let my faith become bigger than my fear of what others would think He changed me. Thus came the name.... Infinity Farms. So... this is us! This our story but better yet, it is our ministry. I hope that our paths cross soon so that we might feed more than just your belly. Thank you for allowing us to serve you and your family, God Bless.
