At Kentucky Mist, our family can trace our distilling roots all the way back to Little Henry Holbrook and the days of American Prohibition. For Henry, making moonshine wasn't just a way of life, it was a means of survival for him and his family. Unfortunately, Henry got caught bootlegging in the mountains of eastern Kentucky by the government and was sent to the federal penitentiary in Atlanta in 1930. But his legacy didn't end there. Using recipes passed down for generations, we continue his tradition of crafting bold, flavorful spirits at our distillery, and we want to share them with the world.
