History
Dugas Community Park was started after a generous operating endowment was founded by Laura and Wayne Dugas. The City of Scottsville donated the 65 acre Dumont Hill site to the park and private donations funded construction of the amphitheater, playground and pavilion.
Specialties
We are a non-profit park that is open to the public for free daily use. We have a 2.1 mile gravel nature trail and 1/3 mile paved trail for biking, hiking and walking. We also have a rustic playground. There are plenty of picnic tables available, if you want to drop by to enjoy your lunch. If you are looking for an affordable event venue, we are your place with a 2000 sq. ft. pavilion and an amphitheater available for rental.
