History
I began working in a Baptist residential facility for teenage girls in 1993 after completing Murray State where I graduated with a major in Criminal Justice. While working at the girl's home, I decided to go back to school where I could become a therapist since this was what I always wanted to do and I thought the therapist role at the girls home was something I would enjoy doing somewhere. I moved to Louisville in 1996 where I attended U of L's Master in social work program since this was one of the few ways at the time to become a licensed therapist. I worked in agencies in Louisville and Indiana before moving back to Paducah. I worked at Paducah's Cumberland Hall and subcontracted with Impact Plus while obtaining the 200 supervision hours to meet licensing requirements. I also worked at United Methodist Family Services but I could not receive supervision hours since I was in an administrative role and not a therapeutic role. I obtained my license in 2008 and started business.
