History
Our orthopedic practice was established in 1962 by Dr. Joseph Stiles as a small general orthopaedic practice serving the people of Owensboro, Kentucky. At that time the office was located on Center Street, which today is the site of the Emergency Department and The Women's Pavilion at Owensboro Medical Health System (OMHS). Two years later, in 1964, Dr. Stiles welcomed Dr. John McKay, and in 1971 Dr. William R. Fuqua joined the practice. As the practice grew, they and other local physicians joined together in 1974 to form the Lincoln Professional Center at 2816 Veach Road. That location served as our group's home from 1974 until 2001. On Labor Day weekend 2001 the group moved into our current Ridgecrest Medical Park location at 2831 New Hartford Road, and became incorporated under a new name, Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Owensboro, PSC (OSMO).
