History
Established in 1978 by Shirley Strotkamp, The Coneburg opened as a small 'beer joint' for the boys around town, offering sandwiches and 'grab and go' as her menu. Shirley eventually reserved Wednesday nights for a Mexican Menu, and The Coneburg started to gain the reputation as the place to be mid week, resulting in a menu developed far beyond just sandwiches. A few people have stepped up to the plate and kept the little place going since the late 90's. Local to Peabody, Lindsey Marshall decided to take the plunge in the summer of 2011 in order to keep the tradition of The Coneburg going. She has 20 or so years in the business and has always dreamed of owning her own Grill and Bar. Though it's geared more toward Grill than Bar, customers can still enjoy a fresh cocktail or cold beer with their meal . The menu and atmosphere have taken on a life of their own, and The Coneburg is alive and kickin'! We cater, take reservations, and are family friendly. Stop in and say hi!
