Specialties
Root to Rise Yoga's primary focus is on offering yoga as a form of nourishment. Classes will emphasize: tuning in to one's body, finding a deeper connection to oneself, recognizing the connection we have with each other, and slowing down and being present in each moment. While classes will include elements of mindful movements, most will draw primarily from yin yoga, restorative yoga and even some kundalini kriyas. And while asana tends to be the main focus of each class, attention will also be paid to meditation and pranayama, and may even include some yoga nidra and reiki treatments. The prenatal class will include all of the above elements with special attention paid to the unique qualities of the pregnant mind and body. It will be a special time for mamas to find: gratitude for their ever-changing bodies, courage for their upcoming labor/birth, relief from common pregnancy ailments and time to bond with their babies. All classes are Walk-in. Private Reiki sessions are also offered.
