History
Back in 2009, Ray became apprentice to a wonderful man, Lee Borntrager. When the Korean War came, he enlisted with his brother, ending up in Germany. Returning in 1953, he promptly bought a '74 Harley, and soon opened his own mechanic shop, retiring 45 years later in 2016. When Lee retired, we soon saw a need for tires and repairs arising in our small town community. Ray's daughter, Jackie, moved up to Buhler in the summer of 2016 and helped Ray Ray's Cycle Inc. come to fruition. Lee visits often and was a huge help in making the business a success. All he asks for in return is all the coffee he can drink. Ray helped Lee take down his old business sign on the condition that he let us hang it in our garage bay and he agreed. Now we all work under Lee's old sign as a reminder of how far we have come. Numerous towns people have stopped in to tell us how good it is to see the old abandoned service station up and running again.
