It was 2002 and my husband and I decided to build our dream home. Building a new home means an overwhelming amount of decisions and planning not to mention the added financial stress. Between his demanding career and my acceptance to graduate school, I knew we needed a professional designer. At this point, my life took an interesting turn: I had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with a talented, down-to-earth, kind and loving woman, Patty Thompson.
