Labette Community College
Located in Parsons, Kan., Labette Community College offers a wide variety of educational programs and learning opportunities to the community. It has various academic departments that include accounting and business, communication, computer science, criminal justice, economics, English, financial services, foreign languages and graphic design. The college also offers courses in history and geography, mathematics, multimedia, music, office technology, philosophy, psychology, respiratory care, sociology, special education, theater and workplace education. The college has athletic teams for baseball, basketball, softball, volleyball and wrestling. Labette Community College is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges and the Kansas Association of Community College Trustees. The Labette Community College Foundation is a nonprofit corporation that raises funds from alumni, friends and businesses in support of college programs. The college is accredited by the Kansas Board of Regents and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
