Jetmore is a city in and the county seat of Hodgeman County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 867.
When it was founded in 1879, the community was named Buckner, not Jetmore. It took its current name in later years in honor of Abraham Buckles Jetmore. A lawyer from Topeka, Jetmore was instrumental in securing a railroad line through the city and in arranging for it to become the county seat.
Jetmore is located at 38°5?3?N 99°53?46?W / 38.08417°N 99.89611°W / 38.08417; -99.89611 (38.084137, -99.895999). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.1 square miles (2.8 km²), all of it land.
