Founded in 1990, Information Network of Kansas provides online access to a wide variety of government information. Its areas of responsibility include regulation of online services and user fees. The organization also undertakes analysis of annual performance and financial condition of the information sharing network. It has more than 4,000 subscribers and maintains a database of local and state government documents and directories of educational, legal, business and medical organizations. In addition, it offers online tax payment options and references on art and culture, genealogy, history, tourist sports and railways.
