Jason Gurney joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in April 2019, following a 22-year career in the United States Army, where he attained the rank of First Sergeant. Jason understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away. A graduate of Central Texas College with an Associate’s degree in Applied Science, Jason holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in Kansas, Texas and Massachusetts. He advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk. Jason will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals. Active in his community, Jason is a member of National Field Archery Association, affiliated with the Kansas State Archery Association and a lifetime member for Veterans of Foreign Wars. In his free time, Jason enjoys spending time with family, spending time with friends, and working out.
