George Harris joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in January 2015, following a 32-year career in the United States Army, where he attained the rank of Major General. During his time in the military, George served as an Assistant Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisitions, Logistics and Technology at the Pentagon. George understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away. George has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, from the United States Military Academy and a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Comptrollership from Syracuse University and the Army War College with a Master's of Strategic Studies degree. He holds Series 6, 63, 65 and 26 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in Alaska, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin.
