History
The building was erected in 1920 as a memorial auditorium for Veterans, in the 1970's Brown County Historical Society saw that this building needed to be preserved and has been maintaining the building and the artifacts since then.
Specialties
The Brown County Historical Society is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to preserve the history of Brown County, Kansas and to educate the public about our town's history. To achieve these goals we operate the museums, collect artifacts and information pertaining to the Brown County's history, and conduct tours, and other special events.
