Whites Woodworking began in 1982 as a small cottage industry located in the country in rural southern Iowa. Dan and Kim White started their business attending craft shows marketing small hand made wooden crafts. We started picture framing in 1985. During that time, we would saw down oak trees from our timber and take them to the local sawmill. The lumber was then dried in our homemade wood kiln. We started small with individual Ducks Unlimited Chapters in the state of Iowa. It wasn't long before the demand for lumber out grew our capability to provide through our own timber. As our business grew so did our reputation for quality, integrity, and customer service. In 1991 we were awarded the State of Iowa Ducks Unlimited framing contract and are still framing for them today. During this time we started framing for Pheasants Forever Chapters locally and currently frame nationally for Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever. Our wholesale business continues to grow with clients such as nationally known artists and new hospital remodeling. In 1994 we opened our art gallery located on the square in Osceola, Iowa. Again, our quality, experience, and customer service are unparalleled. We are proud to say that Whites' Woodworking and Art Gallery is a destination business in our town. We have a full service retail art gallery and custom frame shop.
